Eligibility : Passed Class X Board Exam.

Duration: 6 Months

Course Outline: Basic sensitization of structure & function of human body, medical terminology and related equipment’s in the field of X-Ray, role of X-Ray technician, principles of hospital practice and patient care, radiation hazards and protection, radiation physics and physics of diagnostic X-ray, Maintenance and machine know how of Radio Diagnosis equipments, X-ray techniques & postioning, X-Ray films, X-Ray Film/Image processing techniques including dark room techniques, maintenance of the processing tank, aftercare proceedings and dismantling of the equipments, radiation safety.

Work Area: X-ray Technicians create X-ray images of parts of the human body using radiographic equipment under the guidance and supervision of Radiologist. They explain medical imaging procedure, prepare X-ray room & patient for procedure, operate & maintain X-ray machine, record radiological supplies, prepare report & document under Radiologist’s guidance.
